Also one of the proud and over worked owners of Subculture, D-Jade (aka Mich Crowley) has been in the DJ game since she rocked up in Queenstown and subsequently gave snowboarding a go, unfortunately for her but real lucky for the lovers of drum n' bass she broke her collarbone on the third day up the hill..That meant she faced the daunting prospect of no riding or working for two and a half months coinciding with the fact that there was a depressing shortage of drum n' bass DJ's on the Queenstown scene, only house music n' a wee bit of hip-hop so the only way to get her much needed fix of breakbeat was to get out there and do it herself.
